With demonstrated strength in building strong and lasting relationships, Brett Katsma has focused his professional career around managing and implementing projects that benefit employers and clients.
Katsma is a graduate of Michigan State University with a B.S. in Construction Management. At Michigan State, he gained valuable leadership experience through his involvement as a vice president of Sigma Lambda Chi fraternity and as a member of the Student Builders and Contractors Association.
After obtaining his degree, Katsma worked as a project engineer for both The Christman Company and Bovis Lend Lease, where he gained extensive knowledge of project management by coordinating work scope, managing personnel, and directing project schedules. In 2009, he joined the team at Sweet Marketing Group as a project manager. What fascinated Katsma early on was president Andy Sweet’s mathematical approach to achieving proven results for the company’s clients. At SMG, Katsma concentrates on company growth strategies, data analysis, client management, and market research.
In his free time, Katsma enjoys activities such as running, biking, swimming, fishing, and boating. He is also actively involved in the American Marketing Association, the Grand Rapids Young Professionals, and AimWest.
